The Air Force unit included Lieutenant Barber that died when he jumped into the unstable vortex of the stargate after being exposed to an alien radiation. The Military unit was led by Major or Lieutenant Colonel Harper.
This team were assigned to complete the mission on P2X-555, when SG-1 traveled back in time instead (SG-1: "1969 (episode)"). They were once visiting an abandoned Goa'uld palace and afterwards displaying signs of drug addiction (SG1: "The Light"). A few years later, they are off-world when Teal'c is being trapped in transit between stargates. They are therefore transported back to Earth using the russian stargate. (SG1: "48 Hours")
