SG-17 was an SG team created in 2002. (SG1: "Proving Ground")
SG-17 is led by Major Mansfield. Lt. Kevin Elliot is transferred to this team after successfully proving his worth in an elaborate test. (SG1: "Proving Ground")
Tragically, SG-17 became one of the many casualties when during an attack on the underground Tok'ra Base on Revanna by the Goa'uld Zipacna, three members of the team including Mansfield all died after being struck by falling debris, leaving Elliot as the only survivor. Elliot managed to survive because the Tok'ra symbiote, Lantash blended with him. Both Elliot and Lantash later died, presumably sacrificing their lives so that they could be captured before releasing a Goa'uld specific poison among their captors with the effects giving SG-1 and Jacob Carter enough time to escape and return to Earth.
