Ronan's Tel'tak is a Tel'tak that originally belonged to Apophis, later used by both the Jaffa Ronan and SG-1.

History[]

This Tel'tak was originally part of Apophis' fleet during the time that he ruled Chulak. After his death, the ship fell into the hands of the Jaffa Ronan. Much later, Ronan and his ship were recruited by Teal'c and Bra'tac to locate the Lost City of the Ancients. During the trip, Colonel Jack O'Neill used the knowledge gained from his second download of the Repository of knowledge to enhance the hyperdrive of the Tel'tak to make it capable of intergalactic hyperspace travel, far outpacing any normal Tel'tak. This enhancement allowed it to conduct the trip to Praclarush Taonas at tremendous speed but came at the expense of burning out the drive after just a few uses.

After reaching Taonas, SG-1 used the Transportation rings to punch through the magma covered dome and retrieved the Zero Point Module. On the trip back to Earth, Jack made modifications to the Tel'tak's Transportation rings, allowing it to emit a powerful energy beam which melted a mile of ice in Antarctica to gain access to the Antarctic outpost buried there. After SG-1 ringed to the outpost, Bra'tac took the ship to safety and watched as the drone weapons destroyed Anubis' fleet. (SG1: "Lost City, Part 2")

Hala's sun

The Tel'tak was later used by Major Samantha Carter and Teal'c to travel to the Othala galaxy to contact the Asgard. After arriving in the Hala system, the ship was caught in the gravitational pull of a black hole where Hala's sun used to be, unable to escape as the drive had burnt out. Carter and Teal'c were beamed to the Daniel Jackson by Thor before the ship was ripped apart and ultimately destroyed. (SG1: "New Order, Part 1")
