Red Guard 1 was a guard who was a Tok'ra operative who secretly served in Apophis's court. He was tasked to send a signal during a reunion between Apophis and Heru'ur, so a reprogrammed mine from the powerful Tobin Minefield would be attracted to Apophis's flagship, luring the System Lord into believing that Heru'ur attacked and starting a war between the two Goa'uld that would weaken them both in favor of the other System Lords.
