In 2009, Queen Waterlight took Promised Return into battle with Queen Death's forces, engaging Death's hive ship directly. However, the small hive ship was no match for it even with the help of Guide's fleet, the George Hammond and the Pride of the Genii, quickly suffering significant damage. With no other choice, Waterlight latched her hive ship onto Death's and led a boarding party to confront Queen Death directly with Teyla Emmagan leading one from a Wraith cruiser at the same time while the Pride of the Genii sent one as well.
