A power source is a source of energy of various types that can be harvested and converted by many different devices to suit the needs of the user. This energy can then be used to power various systems in the vast majority of post-industrial civilizations including the Tau'ri, Ancients, Asgard, and Goa'uld. Even races as primitive as the Genii harvest power sources in their technology.
