The Power Booster Device was a construct made by Colonel Jack O'Neill while under the influence from the Ancient Repository of knowledge. It consisted of a Liquid Naquadah power cell from a Staff weapon. In addition to this, it was made with Earth based technology.

The device would be hooked up to the circuit breaker in the power vault that powers the Stargate and increase the energy output by a factor of ten. It worked in conjunction with the modifications made into the dialing computer at Stargate Command and allowed travel to Othala within the Ida galaxy. (SG1: "The Fifth Race")

After its usage, the device remained inert and inoperable even after being supplied with a fresh naquadah power cell. (RPG: "Friends and Foes: Stargate Season Two")

Major Carter was later able to reactivate the device after she studied the naquadah generator of the Orbanians. It was used in a mission through the Quantum Mirror to help the SGC of an alternative reality make contact with the Asgard and repel the invasion of Apophis. (SG1: "Point of View")
