Plasmapistole 55

The Plasmapistole 55 is a plasma based energy weapon developed by the People of Himmel from Goa'uld technology, specifically Ma'Tok staff weaponry. Miniaturization problems hindered the development of a suitable pistol sized plasma weapon until 1955, when a final breakthrough provided the means to shorten the plasmamaschinepistole 54's plasma generation system into a proper housing. But to meet the weight requirements the sophisticated cooling system that allows the plasmamaschinepistole 54's fully automatic capabilities needed to be removed from the plasmapistole 55. Yet the plasmapistole 55 is highly thought of by Himmel officers and many are customized with elaborate decorations as a show of wealth and position. When requisitioned, a plasmapistole 55 comes with a single capacitor array, further capacitor arrays each costs additional resources and weighs a half pound each. The weapon has a range increment of six meters and a maximum effective range of sixty meters and enough charge for fifteen shots of ammunition.
