Peter Tanner is a male member of Martin's people from another planet who, along with a group of others, deserted from their military, while fighting a losing war with the Goa'uld.

2000[]
Tanner fled to Earth, where he posed as a psychiatrist. When Martin Lloyd insisted they return to the fight, he and the other members of his crew used drugs to erase Martin's memories. When he began to remember and contacted Colonel Jack O'Neill, he had Major Samantha Carter and Dr. Daniel Jackson captured and interrogated. He then Self-destructed their escape pod and went into hiding. (SG1: "Point of No Return")
2001[]
After realizing the NID was closing in on them, they fled in their spaceship. (SG1: "Wormhole X-Treme!")
