- "I must hear the Jaffa's pecca-ve."
"Well, you're outta luck, 'cause you're not going to get him to pecca-anything." - ―Byrsa woman and Colonel Jack O'Neill[src]
Pecca-ve is a term used by the Byrsa which roughly translates as "confession".[1] Those who undergo the Cor-ai are known to be guilty of their crime and give their pecca-ve to a person who acts as their voice during the trial proceedings.
History[]
In 1998, when Teal'c was to undergo the Cor-ai, a Byrsa woman was chosen to be his voice and was to witness his pecca-ve. Colonel Jack O'Neill told her she wouldn't get it and that he would be his voice instead. During the Cor-ai, Teal'c admitted to killing Hanno's father Himilco. (SG1: "Cor-ai")
