Patricia Armstrong was the wife of Senator Alan Armstrong, and mother of Chloe Armstrong. She is a friend of both President Henry Hayes and the First Lady, and is aware of the Stargate Program's existence.

In 2009, both her husband and daughter ended up stranded on Destiny after an attack on Icarus Base. When Chloe Armstrong was able to use the Long-range communication device to make contact with her mother, albeit via Dr. Mehta's body. She was devastated to learn her husband died on the ship, and threatened to go public with what knowledge she had on the Program should her daughter die also. (SGU: "Air, Part 3")
Weeks later, she seemed more comfortable with the fact that her daughter would use other bodies to see her, and says she could live with that if this was the only way to speak to her. (SGU: "Earth")
