Parka

A Parka is a type of hooded jacket used by the Tau'ri to protect the wearer against cold weather conditions. Typically, the size of the coat extends to the thighs or knees. They are also usually insulated, and their hoods are lined with fur.

History[]

Major General George S. Hammond wore a parka when he arrived in Antarctica to save Captain Samantha Carter and Colonel Jack O'Neill after they had arrived on Earth through the Beta Gate by accident. (SG1: "Solitudes")

SG-1 wore parkas when they traveled to the Russian Stargate facility in Siberia. (SG1: "Watergate")

Stargate Program personnel would wear The North Face branded parkas in cold environments. (SG1: "Frozen")

Dr.s Janet Fraiser and Francine Michaels wore parkas at the White Rock Research Station in Antarctica. (SG1: "Frozen")
