Ozone (O3), or Trioxygen, is a triatomic molecule, consisting of three oxygen atoms. It is an allotrope of oxygen that is much less stable than the diatomic allotrope (O2). It forms much of the outer atmosphere of planets and is responsible for containing most of the heat that comes from sunlight. In 2005 Dr. Parrish was studying the affects of serious ozone depletion on plant life on P3M-736. (SGA: "Runner")
