Ori fighters were small fightercraft used by the servants of the Ori during their conquest of the Milky Way.
Overview[]
These craft were observed to be larger than a Death Glider, but much smaller than an Al'kesh. They were used to scout human settlements for the presence of an altar which symbolized a world embracing Origin. If one was not found, the fighters would provide air support for the Ori Army, and use their energy weapons to attack enemy positions out of range of the Ori ground forces. They have the same propulsion system as the Ori's mothership (horizontal ring with a glow inside). Additional duties of the Ori fighters are the destruction of enemy fighters launched in defense. Some fighters were used to drop transportation rings onto the ground of a planet, allowing Ori soldiers to be deployed from an Ori warship in a short period of time. (SG1: "Flesh and Blood", "Line in the Sand", "The Ark of Truth")
Ori fighters were launched from the bow of an Ori warship, which accommodated nearly five hundred fighters[2]. (SG1: "Flesh and Blood", "Line in the Sand")
History[]
After the successful entry into the Milky Way, Ori fighters were deployed by their respective motherships to combat resistance on one of the primary worlds of the Free Jaffa Nation—Chulak. Once deployed, they proved to be capable of fighting both Death Gliders and Al'kesh craft the Jaffa were fielding in defense without much difficulty. (SG1: "Flesh and Blood")
A squadron of fighters were deployed to determine if a planet had converted to Origin. After no sighting of an Ara and observing a number of Tau'ri personnel, a fighter was sent to deploy a ring platform to allow the Ori Army to arrive on the world and convert its population by force. (SG1: "Line in the Sand")
A number of fighters were later present during the Battle of the Dakara Ruins where they provided air support for the Ori force sent to combat SG-1. (SG1: "The Ark of Truth")
After capturing Dr. Daniel Jackson, Vala Mal Doran and Tomin, several Ori fighters flew towards the City of Celestis, presumably carrying them. (SG1: "The Ark of Truth")

Some issues of The DVD Collection magazine are known to contain errors with respect to the dimensions they provide for spaceships. Dimensions for the same class of ship may vary between issues. The dimensions given in an issue may contradict how the ship visually appears on screen. The dimensions of two ships which appear similarly sized on screen may be given different measurements in The DVD Collection magazines. However, as the DVD Collection Magazines are officially licensed by MGM (and thus considered canon) Stargate Wiki includes them, while noting the apparent discrepancies in instances where they occur. See policy and List of spaceships by size for more information. - ↑ Stargate SG-1: The DVD Collection 63
