"We are forever. We will escape our prison with the use of your minds. Our prison will become a beacon. Calling us all to our salvation. We will invade your realm once again…"
―Unknown entity possessing a Phoenix team member[src]

The Old Ones are powerful interdimensional entities[2] that are as old as time. They hail from a distant dark dimension and feed on psychic energy.[1]

History[]

"I am Enrros of the Lantean scientific team……we…we have been observing the beacon for…I don't remember how long…but I believe it is a prison to keep THEM out. Out of our existence. Out of my head…(laugh)."
Enrros[src]

The People of BP6-314, a highly advanced civilization, imprisoned the powerful entities in the Other-side of a Subspace prison on their planet BP6-314. Hundreds of thousands of years after the civilization of BP6-314 died off, a pair of Lantean scientists discovered the prison and studied it. However, the more they understood it the more influence the Old Ones had on them. The Old Ones influenced the Ancients to free them but also drove them mad.[1]

Later, when a Phoenix team went to BP6-314, the Old Ones gathered on the Other-side of the subspace prison, using it like a beacon. They used psychic attacks against the team, and the closer the team was to the prison the worse the effects.[3] An unknown entity possessed one of the team members declaring they would escape their prison with the team's minds. The Old Ones sent their minions, the Tar Tentacles, to secure the area around the prison and tried to escape.[4] (RPG: "Mechanicus")

Abilities[]

  • Nightmare: The Old Ones can create illusions of all senses, such as; giving the victim a sense of insects crawling under their skin, or giving them visions, such as making it appear that a stargate is getting further away as they get closer, visions of tentacles bursting from their chest, or the smell of perfume of a deceased lover.[5]
  • Possession: The Old Ones can trance and possess people.[4]
  • Psychic attacks: Their psychic attacks can cause headaches, confusion, aggression, and hallucinations.[3]
