―Oberoth speaking to Elizabeth Weir[src]

Oberoth was High Councillor of Asuras.

Biography

2006

When Lt. Colonel John Sheppard's team arrived on Asuras, he was arrogant toward them, implying that they were beneath his notice. After personally probing the minds of the team, he ordered the Asuran city-ship to leave to destroy Atlantis. He also believed they should kill the Tau'ri, and ridiculed Niam's desire to ascend. Oberoth was destroyed when the Asuran city-ship was destroyed in orbit over Lantea. (SGA: "Progeny")

2007

However, Oberoth's consciousness survived in the Asurans' subspace network, and he replicated a new body. When the Apollo attacked Asuras, he launched the Asuran Stargate satellite in retaliation. When Dr. Elizabeth Weir attempted to contact the Asurans, he responded and attempted to upload a virus on the communication band so Weir ended the conversation. (SGA: "First Strike")

When Lt. Colonel John Sheppard, Dr. Rodney McKay, Dr. Elizabeth Weir, and Ronon Dex infiltrated Asuras and stole a Zero Point Module, Oberoth fought a mental duel with Weir, who used her new Nanites induced abilities to buy them enough time to get away by using him to take control of the collective and freeze them. He underestimated her and she tricked him into thinking he had won and captured the team, while in reality they were running away. When she eventually weakened, he regained control and captured her. (SGA: "Lifeline")

As part of his campaign against Atlantis, Oberoth created the Hybrid, a part-Replicator, part-disease creature that combined nanites with living tissue to create new Replicators based on their enemies. However, the amount of energy required for it just to exist gave it a lust for power that made it a danger to both sides, the Hybrid escaping and attempting to infiltrate Atlantis using a construct called Angelus, only for Angelus to rebel against his origins and help Lt. Colonel John Sheppard destroy the Hybrid fragments that he had brought to Atlantis. Colonel Abraham Ellis and the Apollo were able to track the Hybrid back to its origin after disposing of the Hybrid components aboard the Apollo, Ellis successfully negotiating a temporary truce between Apollo and an Asuran ship commanded by Oberoth to destroy the Hybrid before they went their separate ways by arguing that they each wanted the same thing at this point and would gain nothing by fighting each other, Oberoth complimenting Ellis on the logic of his argument. (SGA: "Angelus")

Oberoth was presumably destroyed along with the rest of the Asurans when McKay, using a replicator he created called FRAN, immolated all the Asurans into a massive nanite blob, which sank into Asuras' core and destroyed it. (SGA: "Be All My Sins Remember'd")
