Nuclear fusion reactors are used by the Eurondan people and most likely their enemies "the Breeders" for generating power. This process consists of combining Deuterium atoms and Tritium atoms (both Hydrogen isotopes gained from Heavy water). This creates one Helium atom, an excess neutron and energy. An alternative means of heavy water-based fusion is made by combining Deuterium atoms with each other. (SG1: "The Other Side")
