The National Socialist German Workers' Party of Germany, known as the Nazi Party, was the far-right political party that seized political control of the country in 1933 under Adolf Hitler, in the promulgated belief in the supremacy of Hitler as Führer, led the Third Reich and enforced aggressive anti-Semitism, and the conception of the ancient Aryan race being a superior race, holding the highest position in the racial hierarchy and that the Germanic peoples were the most racially pure existing peoples of Aryan stock, and the establishment of Germany by superior force as a dominant world power. The party was officially abolished in 1945 at the conclusion of World War II. In some Earth cultures, their name and that of their leader have become synonymous with absolute evil, hence Dr. Daniel Jackson's expression that a Harcesis would be born with "the memories of a thousand Hitlers." Nazis and the Stargate[]
After the Stargate's discovery in Giza in 1928, it remained in Egypt until 1939. Having no knowledge of what the Gate was for, it was feared to be some kind of weapon. To prevent the Nazis from getting their hands on it, the Gate was transported to the United States by the freighter Achilles. (Stargate) (SG1: "Continuum")
The Giza gate was missing its Dial Home Device when first discovered as it had been discovered by a German archeologist in 1906. Following the defeat of Nazi Germany in 1945, the Soviet Union gained access to the DHD. It passed into the possession of the Russian Federation after the fall of the Soviet Union. Nazis and the Goa'uld[]
Sekhmet was a Goa'uld who, at one time, was a loyal servant to the Supreme System Lord Ra. To ensure she never escaped his wrath, Ra imprisoned her within a canopic jar. Along with several other artifacts, it was recovered first by Napoleon Bonaparte and later by the Nazis. Eventually the jar fell into the hands of a rogue NID cell who used Sekhmet's DNA to create a Goa'uld/human hybrid. The man responsible for this project, Dr. Keffler, was the son of a Nazi war criminal. (SG1: "Resurrection")
Nazi on Himmel[]
During World War II, Adolf Hitler sent several German forces to the planet Himmel by Stargate to conquer the planet. After the Nazis won battles against the System Lord Nirrti they founded a colony on the planet and named their colony Neuberlin. The Eurondans show obvious resemblances, through their actions and racial ideology, to the Nazis during World War II. Their dependence on heavy water recalls the sabotage of heavy water shipments for the Nazi nuclear programme, and the embattled bunker suggests the Führerbunker in 1945. Further, Alar's wish to follow SG-1 back to safety so that he might work as a scientist for them parallels the Allied use and forgiveness of Nazi scientists in the Cold War. (SG1: "The Other Side")
