Nancy Sheppard was a female Tau'ri and Lt. Colonel John Sheppard's ex-wife. She worked for Homeland Security in Washington D.C. and recently got promoted to a director there. She is currently married to Grant.

Background information
She was once married to John Sheppard, but after a while, the two barely saw each other, so they later divorced sometime before Sheppard joined the Atlantis expedition in 2004. (SGA: "Outcast")
2007
In 2007, Ronon Dex first heard that Sheppard was married to someone on the day that Dr. Carson Beckett was killed. (SGA: "Sunday")
2008
They met again in 2008 when Sheppard learned that his father Patrick Sheppard had died of a heart attack. She was seeing someone else, a probable colleague named Grant (who Sheppard thought was Greg). While hunting for Dr. Richard Poole's replicator, Sheppard managed to convince Nancy to find anything that she could on Project Archetype. The search gave her some insight into Sheppard and her inability to tell Grant about her job caused her to finally understand what Sheppard must've gone through when she wanted details he couldn't give while they were married.
