Sometime in 2007, he was sent to New Athos to fit into the Athosian village where one day, several people stormed the village and kidnapped them. He was later seriously injured by the Bola Kai, who arrived on the planet and left him for dead. He was found by Dr. Jennifer Keller and Teyla Emmagan, who took him to be treated while in hiding from the Bola Kai. He made the cover story by saying he was working with the Genii, and that the Bola Kai alerted the Wraith to the Athosians. He later confessed that it was a lie, and told the women that the Athosians are still alive. He knocked out Teyla to try and get the gate address to Atlantis. However, Keller shot Nabel in the leg, wounding him, but he got away just as the women were rescued from a Bola Kai attack group by Lt. Colonel John Sheppard, Dr. Rodney McKay and Ronon Dex. After searching the planet, they couldn't find Nabel, meaning he had escaped. (SGA: "Missing")

2008[]

Around six months later, Nabel ambushes Lt. Colonel John Sheppard's team in a bar with a FN P90 Personal Defense Weapon he acquired from a weapons cache on New Athos after they travel to an address supplied by a clone of Dr. Carson Beckett. Nabel eventually ran out of ammunition and Ronon Dex stunned him with his particle magnum. As a result, Nabel fell off the balcony he was on and smashed a table beneath him, seriously injuring Nabel. He was then taken back to Atlantis for medical treatment and questioning where Dr. Jennifer Keller recognizes him from New Athos. After regaining consciousness, the team interrogates Nabel for information, but he refuses as he's dead anyway once Michael finds out he's been taken captive. After Sheppard offers him asylum in the Milky Way Galaxy instead, Nabel gives up the Stargate address for the planet where Michael has taken Teyla and the Athosians, leading to the rescue of the Athosians though Michael is able to escape with Teyla.
