For Fondue Day, Marines sectioned off a part of the lake so people could go swimming. They chased off Mutant-raccoons and Proto-crocs, but the Leeches were too small to keep out. (RPG: "Core Rulebook")
In 2003, there was a Baseball diamond adjacent to the lake, where a group of Marines were teaching a group of Free Jaffa the basics of the game. (RPG: "In Ruins")
