Mossberg 500

The Mossberg 500 is a Tau'ri pump-action shotgun.[4] It was designed for reliability in a variety of enviroments.[1]

History[]

Lt. Porro used a Mossberg 500 bullpup during the United States Air Force's first mission to Abydos.[3] Since then, several model 500s remained in the SGC's armories.[4] (Stargate, RPG: "Fantastic Frontiers: Stargate Season One")

Though it stopped being a first choice weapon at the SGC,[4] the Mossberg 500, along with the FN P90, were the two base kit longarm choices listed for Phoenix Site's teams.[5] The standard issue Mossberg 500 at Phoenix Site came with an underbarrel flashlight and a reinforced stock that could be used as a bludgeon.[1] (RPG: "Fantastic Frontiers: Stargate Season One", RPG: "Core Rulebook")

Notes[]

  • While listed in the base kit for Phoenix teams, this didn't mean team members had to choose the Mossberg or the FN P90, as soldiers could potentially be granted permission from Major General Loyer to arm themselves with a different weapon.[5] (RPG: "Core Rulebook")
