Moonwhite is a Hive queen of the lineage of Night. She is the daughter of Queen Edge and sister of Light Breaking. One of Queen Death's loyal Wraith infected her with an engineered version of Blood fever and fed her to an Iratus bug queen, but she survived.
Biography[]
When Moonwhite and her sister Light Breaking were young they clung together, which made their mother Edge worried they wouldn't be fierce enough to be proper Queens, however, by the time they were old enough to walk it was clear the sisters had banded together against all others and no one dared to fight them more than once.
For a year, Moonwhite and Light Breaking argued about the Atlantis expedition. Moonwhite had been determined not to cooperate with humans, while Light Breaking had been determined to meet them at least halfway.
Moonwhite had considered elevating the Wraith Bell to her Zenana and had planned to allow him to sire a son after discussing it with him and her Consort. When the genetics were calculated of their potential offspring however, there were anomalies, which Bell had created. Uknown to her at the time, Bell actually had allegiance to deceased Queen Death and planned to betray her.
Due to the genetic anomalies, she took Bell with her to consult with Light Breaking. Afterwards, when they left her sister's Hive ship, Bell infected Moonwhite, her men, and her scout ship the Nimble with an engineered version of Blood fever. The Nimble crashed onto the planet Teseirit. While she and her men were weakened, Bell clouded their minds and informed them of the planet's Iratus bug nest where Moonwhite might be healed since he claimed nothing he had done seemed to slow the fever.
After she climbed up to the nest, she realized what Bell was doing and managed to break his hold, and Bell and her men fought, but Moonwhite was too weak to aid them. Bell beat her men down and flung Moonwhite into the nest where she was seized by the Iratus queen.
Moonwhite was later found and recovered by Blaze, Forge, Salt, Everlasting, and AR-1. Blaze fed upon Moonwhite until the Iratus queen let go, and after the iratus was killed, Blaze fed the life back into her.
Bell kept her unconscious, and during that time, Moonwhite felt the presence of Steelflower striving to help free her, although given it's believed Steelflower was killed, she didn't think it was truly the case. When she awoke, she informed everyone of Bell's treachery and then fed upon him, killing him.
With Moonwhite's survival, the alliance was unbroken, the friendship of Alabaster was untarnished, and the Atlantis expedition was found to be true to their word. Nothing Bell worked for succeeded. Moonwhite informed Blaze they would have to accept the alliance. She had known they couldn't fight the Atlantis expedition, but now she also doubted they could avoid their notice. (SGA: "Lost Queen")
