Moonshine is a common name for illicitly-distilled spirits, whisky or liquor.
In 1997, Dr. Daniel Jackson helped the Abydonians make some moonshine, which was apparently very strong. (SG1: "Children of the Gods")
While on the Genii homeworld in 2004, Lieutenant Aiden Ford was given Genii moonshine. However, he found it too strong and spat it out. Teyla Emmagan jokingly suggested that he was not man enough to drink it. (SGA: "Underground")
In 2010, Dr. Adam Brody built a still on Destiny and created some moonshine to serve to the crew. (SGU: "Sabotage")
