The moon base was constructed generations ago by a race of Humans over a planet in the Pegasus galaxy. It lay within a low orbiting moon, making it easy for them to build it with their limited technology and resources. It also featured Apollo Era technology that Dr. Rodney McKay described as "vintage". The space station had a complement of two shuttles and had a pattern storage module. The moon base was destroyed when it entered the planet's atmosphere and largely burned up before finally exploding. (SGA: "The Ark")
