The Moodshroom is a plant on PJ2-445 that lives symbiotically with the Pod people. The plant's flower is pink. It was discovered by SG-1 that the plants emitted ultra sound to affect the local Pod People as well as the Human visitors. The sound they emitted was vital to the health of the Pod people due to a unique internal organ theorized to be sound sensitive. Humans were also effected by long term exposure. When one of the plants was impacted by a U.A.V. their natural sound frequency changed causing the Pod people to become ill to the point they doubled over in pain and remained very weak or unconscious. Humans were also effected by the sound over a prolonged period eventually causing them to feel severe headaches, nausea, occasional dizziness and irritability. When the plants were restored to their normal sound pitch the Pod people returned to normal health. It was never seen if long term exposure to the normal sound pitch had any negative effect on humans or not (SG1: "One False Step")
