Mk 2 Sabin

The Mk 2 Sabin was a pistol-like device developed by the Tau'ri and was in use roughly two years after the destruction of the Ori. The device was loaded with nanites which were engineered to attack symbiotes, killing them.^[1]

When sprayed liberally, the poison cloud was capable of revealing cloaked ashrak, and penetrate Goa'uld shields. It could also affect Jaffa. The poison cloud had serious hangtime. The poison is also contagious while active, meaning any infected System Lord soldier ran the risk of infecting others he passed near.^[1]

The Sabin also had the capacity of releasing a version of nanites tuned to hyper accelerate the natural human healing process, as well as artificially shore up serious wounds as the accelerated healing works.^[1] (Stargate Resistance)
