Stargate Command currently conducts, in cooperation with its associates and allies on Earth and other planets, mining operations to acquire a variety of elements. Such elements include naquadah and trinium, which are used in the power generation and construction of ships in the Tau'ri fleet; namely Daedalus-class battlecruisers. Known planets where mining is ongoing is P3X-403 (in co-operation with the Unas on that planet) and P4F-221. The Tau'ri also have an "off-world" Trinium mine. (SG1: "Enemy Mine")
