Mike Branton was a member of the Atlantis Expedition, who started working as late as 2007. Mike had a fondness for the expedition leader, Dr. Elizabeth Weir.
During the fateful day off, before the death of Carson Beckett, he noticed Weir was still working. He invited her for a lunch date. She was at first hesitant, as Weir made it her personal rule never to become involved romantically with a fellow expedition member. He insisted that it was just a co-worker discussion lunch date. Weir later agreed. After lunch, he admitted that he was fond of her, and even kissed her, which he admitted was out of line. It is unknown what happened to hime after that fateful day. (SGA: "Sunday")
