Welcome to Stargate Command. Your recent contributions are much appreciated, especially while many people seem to have been away for a while (including me), so well done for keeping it going. Looking forward to more.

Wraith feeding Edit

It's just a theory of mine. -- Jaster 23:40, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi, SFH! Thanks for all the good work you've been doing here. I'm sorry it's been months (going on a year) since I've been able to participate much. I have a concern that the GFDL for this site is being mis-understood. Things that are published on this site are released under GFDL, so their future use may not be restricted in the way that Template:Stargatecaps requests. That means we will need to remove those images.  :-( Please see SGCommand:Copyrights and the copyrights information on the Central Wikia. As one of the more active current users, I hope you can help share this information and maybe help with replacement images that fit the guidelines? By the way, are you interested in being an administer? --CocoaZen 22:00, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

  • So, does this mean that the images from Stargate screecaps are to be removed, or the ones from them can stay? Because I gotta tell you, I've uploaded a lot of images from the DVDs using images captures, and if we have to remove those...well, we'll have to go through quite a few removals...-- SFH 22:26, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
  • Well, I understand now that you meant that we need to remove the images that are from Stargate screencaps. I went and counted, ant that is roughly 86 images...many of which are main images. Replacing those will take a while...But, to let you know, I take screen shots from image captures straight from the DVDs. Is that okay? -- SFH 22:46, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
As it says on the page about copyrights, the status of screencaps in general is still up in the air. You can follow-up to find out.
Stargate screencaps said they were for our use only. That violates the GFDL. So they cannot be used. I'm removing them now. Most of them are not being used, which should make the repairs easier, luckily. However, some were very widely used... oh well, they still violate the policy and keeping them has potential legal consequences.
Please do your best to understand the copyright policy. If you violate someone's copyright by posting things that you shouldn't, you could be legally liable.
Personally, I'd rather spend my limited time here contributing rather than cleaning up others' copyright messes.
--CocoaZen 21:11, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
  • I did remove the tainted images from their articles after you informed me, so as to make your job easier. As for the copyrights of screencaps, I'm putting all image upholding on hold until they get it sorted out (damn shame to), just got some new ones from Lost City, Part 2). -- SFH 22:11, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! It is a pain. I'd like it settled either way, so we could give better guidance. I've put a stronger warning on the file upload page for now. Sorry about your new pictures.  :-( I just asked Sannse for more guidance on this. Thanks for understanding and for cleaning up some of the links. I've deleted all the images under that particular set. --CocoaZen 22:43, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

new tabs...Edit

SFH - You may notice some extra tabs now on this Wikia's pages. You are now an administrator here. See Wikia:Help:Administrators' how-to guide for more information. Use the force for good!  :-) Enjoy. --CocoaZen 20:32, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

  • Wow. Thank you. -- SFH 20:47, 18 November 2006 (UTC)

What's with the pics??/Goa'uld gender stuffEdit

Hello! Thanks for the warm welcome ;) I hope I can contribute as best I can, to make this site even better than it is already. But anyways to the point: Why are there so few pictures (screencaps) on this page and of so poor quality?? I know it has to do with copyrights and all, but as I can see there are a few caps and a few fan-made as well as official pics, so what's the big deal?? At least each member of SG-1 shoud have dozens of photos, not to mention some characters that don't have pics at all, while you can easilly find their pisc all over the net. Second thing is the "gender" of the Goa'uld. Symbionts don't have a gender, so it shoud be changed for the gender of the hosts they reside in. I know, I'm trying to be too precise, byt it's the truth. May the Force be with you. --Ascended Daniel 21:43, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Well, I've always felt that the host gender decides the symbiote gender; Jolinar was always described as a female, Ra was always described as a male; Osiris I will admit gets a little tricky. As for the screencaps, we did have a lot more, but their method of acquisition was declared not compatible with this wiki, so we had to take them off. I had to upload quite a few replacements, mind you, and I am working on getting new ones. Screen captures are okay, just state where you got it and make sure you maintain that it's free use (use {{image} when uploading it). If you have any screencaptrues, by all means, upload them. And any other contributions. I get damn lonely here sometimes. Anyway, I'll leave you to your work. Shel'khek nem'ron. -- SFH 00:06, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Navi the BotEdit

Hello SFH. You blocked Navi because she was spamming the recent changes. It turns out that I can't edit pages because me and Navi use the same ip address. Can you please unblock her, so I may edit. When you blocked me, I was already stopping the scripts for the bot.--Herbsewell 21:08, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

User:Your daily share of vandalism Edit

The user is the "Italian Vandal", also known as "Johnny the Vandal" on Wikipedia, which uses the range, confirmed through CheckUser. So you would have to block all the way up to because the most allowed is /16. G.He(Talk!) 03:22, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the intel. -- SFH 04:21, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
    • I meant you have to go like,, ... Yes, it's a lot of work (scroll down a bit here (and here)), and cross-wiki block currently doesn't support ranges. G.He(Talk!) 04:23, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

User RightsEdit

Please feel free to self-nominate, or let me know, and I'll nominate you, if you'd like to change your user rights. (Ref.: Project:User rights) --CocoaZen 21:10, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Character Died DateEdit

Before too many Died dates are added, should they be plain text or links? -- Reignfire 03:40, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

  • I suppose you could include links. -- SFH 05:08, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks Edit

Thanks for the welcome. Also, are you an admin here, if you are whould Stargate Command like to become freinds with [SWGames]. Also, wile i love Stargate, I am not that knowledgeable due to I remeber things better that are on books and my library doesnt carry any Stargate books. But Im not to bad at templates so if Stargate Command need any templates I can help there. Fell Skyhawk , 20:40, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Awar & Darth Awar? Edit

Excuse me but me (Alex) and my twin brother (Alec) have only one computer and we share an e-mail account as we have the same contacts/friends etc.

  • Also I took the nickname Darth Awar a name that he wanted and so he took the nickname Awar! -- 16:12, 23 November 2007 (UTC).
  • In the future can you please ask before you assume and just do things to other people accounts becuase:
  1. It's just rude we dont do it too you.
  2. You are not Omnipotent.
  • You don't do it to me because you can't ban me. And stop trying to white wash your reputation. Ask any of the other admins what they would have done if they were in my place. -- SFH 00:09, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Fighter craft measurements?Edit

Is it me or dose 75 meter (wing span) and a 30 meter (length), body seem a bit large too be a fighter craft?

  • I believe that all the Fighter craft should have their size reposted as the size posted for them at the moment seems unrealstic! -- Awar 04:47, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Who added them? -- SFH 04:51, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
    • I dont know to be honest, shouyld they be deleted? -- Awar 04:55, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
  • It turns out Nomad added them. -- SFH 04:57, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
    • Their still incorrect though. -- Awar 05:00, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
  • If he has a source, it's canon. Ask Nomad about them. -- SFH 05:02, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
    • I have no clue where the measurements come from. I did add them to the F-302 page, but I was just copying them from the page on the X-302. Since the one is just the production model of the other, and they look identical, I assumed they had the same measurements. In retrospect, I should have looked at them more closely, since Awar is right - there's plenty of visual evidence that shows those figures are nowhere near correct.) It looks like Jaymach is the one who added the measurements to the X-302 page, so I think that's who you need to ask. --Nomad 23:12, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
      • Yeah, I have to admit that the fighter lengths seem a bit wonky...but they're in The DVD Collection magazines, so I figured we should include them seeing as official sources trump visual guesses. Because it's such an obvious thing, however, I'd be fine with us including a "Behind the scenes" note stating that the lengths seem somewhat off. 09:15, 6 December 2007 (UTC) (Jaymach at work)

Template:WP and Template:Wikipedia Edit

Hi. I'm new here, but I have much experience from wikipedia. I am currently transwiki'ing episodes from wikipedia because they don't longer want them. So, in order to keep the GFDL intact, I created {{wikipedia}} and put it at the bottom at each article. Then you redirected it to {{WP}}, whose purpose is to link to wikipedia articles (very different). I undid your edit and explained it at Template_talk:Wikipedia. You might have missed this explanation and now redirected {{WP}} to {{wikipedia}}, mixing the two purposes again. I'm just letting you know that I undid your redirect again. :-) Sgeureka 08:51, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks Edit

Thanks for the welcome and the suggestion.--UESPA 02:18, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

editing Edit

When I edit a page do I have to put each time a summary of what I edited, and what makes it a minor edit?—Blaizen 19:57, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

  • Right above the save button is a little box that says "This is a minor edit". That will alloow you to mark it as such. Above the minor edit box, there is a "summary" section which will let you say what you did. -- SFH 22:11, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

thanks dude! —Blaizen 19:57, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

  • Hi, I'm sorry that I can't put this onto your Wookieepedia talk page and that this is unrelated to the Stargate, but I have been blocked by Darth Culator for editing the page "Kyle Katarn/temp", and therefore can't contact an admin on wookieepedia. This appeared to be a joke article, so all that I did was put the temple user fanon onto it and was therefore blocked, on the basis that I "vandalised a WIP article". I was not contacted by Culator to stop editing this, I was outright blocked straight away. I have not vandalised any pages in the past (you can check my history if you wish to), and do not think that what I did was vandalism, as the page is clearly not canonical information on Kyle Katarn and is a joke article (and I don't see why this should be there in the first place). Therefore, I see this as an abuse of administartor rights, but can you please check this out to see whether what I did was wrong, and if you see fit, reinstate my editing priveleges. Thank you, NighthawkLeader 05:30, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
    • Thanks for helping me out with this :) [saw you contacted Culator] NighthawkLeader 07:06, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi SFH. I'm Wendy, a helper with the Entertainment group. I just wanted to give you a heads up that Stargate will be one of the spotlighted wikis for the next two weeks, because of the Ark of Truth release. You have things running pretty well here, but I wanted to let you know that you might have some extra traffic. -- Wendy (talk) 01:30, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up. -- SFH 01:33, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Main PageEdit

Hi again. I had asked Jaymach what he felt about redoing the mainpage since he had mentioned wanting to do it at one point. NOw that I've mocked up a new page, I'd like to also get your opinion as the other active admin. You can find my first effort at User: Merrystar/Mainpage. What does it still need or not need?? From the existing page I took out "Stargater of the Month", some of the content links, and the Birthday Banner. Let me know what you think! -- Wendy (talk) 18:19, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

I did get a look at it. Very nice. -- SFH 18:29, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Exact lantean letters Edit

I have two questions about letters.
1.) why are letters U and F totaly the same? Isn'i it some mistake?
2.) I found earlier alphabet where were letters Q and X substitute for each other. Which version is the right one?

Sockpuppet sighting Edit

Hello SFH, there is a new user who goes by So10. I should seriously recommend that this user be banned because he is an evident sockpuppet of Sam10, To10 and Do10. These pages are definately from the same user. Evidence includes the number 10 on the end of each user name and his real name is Sam on all the infoboxes. You can take a look at them yourself. I suggest banning him before he causes more damage to this Wiki. Please come back to me whether you agree or disagree. Matthew R Dunn 12:25, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

About uploading screencaps Edit

Hello SFH. I'm a bit new here, so excuse me if this has been answered and I just missed it. I was wondering about the use or status of uploading screencaps on this wiki. I used to do this often on the other wiki I worked on (Memory Alpha), but wondered if there was a different policy here. I thought it was also worth mentioning that I already uploaded one screencap at File:Atlantis Stargate.JPG, before this thought occured to me. If I made a mistake in that upload, please feel free to revert and delete my new image.

I just don't want to tread on unsafe water, so any information you may provide will be most helpful. Also, thank you for you welcome message. --Nmajmani 01:21, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

  • You can look at our image policy here. -- SFH 01:35, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your speedy response --Nmajmani 01:40, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello SFH. I was wondering if you could make me an administrator here. I have admin experience as I am one on Monk wiki, even if that wiki is... young? (for lack of a better word). And I also have much experience here, having 3,555 edits (the third highest). I was recently contacted by Jeffrey123450 about an idea to put a timeline section into the Monaco-sidebar. It would say timeline and then branch out into each decade listed on the Timeline article. What do you think about this. If I had admin rights, I could easily do this myself (that is of course if it's a good idea).—Anubis 10545 07:21, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

You'd have to talk to Jaymach, as I don't have beauracrat rights. Personally, I'd back you for adminship. You're a good contributer and have an excellent record. -- SFH 16:17, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

thank you for looking at the work iv started on the 19th century timeline. Im gonna start working on the other years tomorrow also, which should be a lot easier to do.

And ill sort out the repetive links to the Before 19th timeline tomorrow. i was'nt sure about that, and how often i should create link to words.

thanks again,

Anwser Edit

Can you anwser the conterversial question at the bottom of my page???

Thank you.

Help Edit

Please ban, as he keeps removing information for the Asgard article. I warned him or her not to do it again, but he/she didn't listen, so please do something about it. -- Matthew R Dunn 23:39, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, I hope you didn't mind me telling Jaymach and Anubis 10545 about this as well, I thought that if I left a message on every admin, maybe at least one would comply, better safe than sorry, eh. Again, thank you. -- Matthew R Dunn 23:58, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

My page Edit

Why did you delete my page about Earth and Tau'ri??

Separate pages about the Tau'ri and Earth have been created. You page had little info as was not relevant. Sorry for answering here SFH.—Anubis 10545 04:33, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Thank you Edit

You have no idea how stressful it has been for me with him. A huge thank you from me. -- Matthew R Dunn 17:45, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

That guy just keeps setting off warning bells with me. I probably should have blocked him permanently over everything he's done (vandalism of userpages, talk page blanking, atrocious spelling, and the rather creepy adding other people's answers to his user page). I'll give him one more chance, but I doubt he'll be coming back. -- SFH 17:47, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, you said JKH3942 won't be back. Guess what, he's back, as User:StargateFan, and he just confessed it to you underneath this. And from what I can tell, you don't really like sockpuppets that much, so I think he should be banned now. -- Matthew R Dunn 08:41, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Userpage Edit

I switched my Username from JKH3942 to StargateFan so I will now be using my new account instead of my old JKH3942 account.

Simple Fix Edit

I sorta dropped off when the started killing the Goa'uld from Season 4 onwards, but I didn't really stop watching it until after Season 7. Hi, I'm Shawn, from Wikia Entertainment. I've been taking a look around the wiki and I really like what the community has accomplished so far. This wiki has a lot of potential, too and I want to lend a hand by doing a bit of work to the main page that will help out with navigation and make the wiki a bit more accessible for new users. I'll be playing around with some stuff in a sandbox page and will let all the admins here check it out when I'm done, and you can give me feedback on it. I'm leaving this message with all the other admins so everyone will know what's going on as it happens. Thanks! Shawn (talk) 03:59, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I wanted to leave an update with you and the other admins, I've finished a mockup of a new main page layout that features an image-based portal in greater prominence. Please take a look at it here and let me know what you think! I'd like to hear your feedback. Thanks! Shawn (talk) 17:11, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Just saying Hi. Edit

I'm glad to be here, i have Stargate on Dvd not sure what upto though, hopefully one day ill get all of them on Dvd as a collection.

Alliance Edit

Hi, I'm the administrator of the Stargate wiki in Spain, and I would like us to sign an alliance between our wikis. This agreement would lead to the following conditions:

  • Put a picture of the logo of the Spanish stargate wiki in your home and we would do the same in our wiki.
  • Be able to use your articles and you our articles translated into languages correspodientes

I think this would be beneficial to both wikis and help us both to grow.

My best wishes

Request Edit

Seeing as you are the sysop who has logged in most recently, I thought you would be a good person to ask about this. Could you rename Gateship to Puddle Jumper? Currently it is a redirect, and the title of the page is misleading. I have tried, however Puddle Jumper has edit history, so the system is not allowing the move. Thank you. --ProfessorWalrus (talk) (Contribs) 22:08, December 6, 2013 (UTC)

Admin assistance required to rename article Edit

This message was mass-posted to all admins, it is not directed at you in particular. Could one of you move the Gateship article to "Puddle Jumper" (per Talk:Gateship#Name_again). I tried doing it myself but I got an error message, it seams the admin toles are necessary to move this.

Lastly, I apologizes for mass-posting like this, but I didn't know what else to do. The error message directed me to SGCommand:Administration. The Administration page directed me to either make a post on the Community Portal, or to contact an admin directly, but portal doesn't seem to be working (it's little more then an otherwise blank page that says "Under construction"), and I didn't know which specific admin I was supposed to contact.
