Messages Edit

Hello, I was wondering whether it was you who left me a message concerning Bantos fighting on my Wikipedia talk page. If so, if you want my help, or anybody elses, you can simple leave any of us a message on this site. -- Matthew R Dunn 15:14, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

  • It was me and that's good to know. I really just created this account to update the notes on each episode as I watch them, and to join the community. Creating an entire page is over my head.
    • I have created the page on the Bantos fighting you requested. It's a stub for now, so feel free to expand it :) Also, creating an article is fairly simple, you just simply click on a red link, where you can write text on it, then click the "show preview" button until you're satisfied with what you have written, and save it. -- Matthew R Dunn 20:22, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
      • Thanks, I took a look at another page and I think I've gotten the hang of it. It's not quite as intimidating as I thought. I'll be adding pic(s) to the Bantos Fighting page, and hopefully get a list going of episodes containing Bantos fighting and the various character building conversations that resulted of a sparring match.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knows who said this: "We'll blow up that bridge when we come to it." and even better, what episode was it in?
I was also wondering when a stub is no longer a stub. For instance, Adria is a pretty lengthy, well written page.

Cheers. -Ka'lel 19:19, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

For your first one, I have no idea. I don't even know what show it's from. Although it sounds like something Col. O'Neill would say. For stubs, generally it isn't one anymore when it has covered the most important information regarding to the subject and the info it up to date.—Anubis 10545 21:54, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Found it. It's from the episode Death Knell. Carter is being chased by Anubis' super soldiers. Teal'c and O'Neill are tracking their footprints. When Teal'c asks if the new weapon will work on them, the actual quote is "We'll jump off that bridge when we come to it." —Ka'lel 23:50, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Question regarding "tense" Edit

I hate to step on any toes around here because I'm a new user/contributor, but I've noticed a lot of past tense use and it's a pet peeve of mine. Shouldn't articles or discussion of fiction be written in the present tense? I'm not an English major, but "The Lost Tribe weapon was a type of handheld weapon used by members of the Lost Tribe." looks wrong to me, and "Drone Weapons are extremely powerful projectile weapons that serve as the primary weapons system of the Ancients, and are considered by many..." looks right to me. Am I wrong?

Cheers. -Ka'lel 01:35, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Look here: Tense. Hopefully that answers your questions.—Anubis 10545 03:42, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
See? I knew I read that somewhere, but for the life of me I couldn't find that article a second time. Thanks for the help.—Ka'lel 03:53, 14 October 2008 (UTC)

Image alignment Edit

Is there any way to have an image sit on the left side of an infobox, but on the right side of the page? For instance, on this page: Elson, that pic on the right side is in the wrong place. —Ka'lel 06:32, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

If you mean on the left of an infobox touching it, no. The best you could do is write "center" where you normally would write "left" or "right". Although that ends up looking pretty strange, so really the only thing you could do with that image is to put it in another location, or put them in a gallery at the bottom of the page. I just did something with the Elson article so the images don't look so awkward.—Anubis 10545 08:04, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Hello Ka'lel, When you upload a new version of an existing image (like you did with File:Prodigal02.jpg and a few others) can you please upload it over the existing image instead of uploading a completely new one. By that I mean, click on the image to want to replace and where it says: "upload a new version of this file", click on that. Thanks—Anubis 10545 05:09, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Anubis. I know, I usually do that. But in the case of Prodigal02.jpg, I didn't want to offend Matthew R Dunn because he literally had just uploaded his image, and as I create images for that episode, I am naming them Prodigalxx. In regard to HUD07.jpg, I was not aware there was an image exactly like the one I had uploaded, and only noticed today while exploring the site that there was a duplicate (SRS.jpg), but I wasn't able to delete that image, so I simply replaced the links. I've done what you described for images like the ones seen in the infoboxes of the Novo and Elson and Stun bubble pages, but sometimes I miss something. I'll try to be more careful in the future. Cheers —Ka'lel 05:30, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Oh, ok, just making sure. I figured that you knew as I thought I had seen you (not that I was looking... :) upload over images before. On Monk Wiki, there are a few people there that aren't well briefed on the workings of a wiki, and I had just been there so... um... Oh, although if you find a duplicated image, just put this template: {{delete}} on that image so it's easier for me (or another admin) to find and delete. Happy Monday (not that it ever is)—Anubis 10545 06:12, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
It's OK, Ka'lel, I am not offended, I hate rubbish images as much as you do (though they're the only ones I could find), I'm glad you found a better image :) == Matthew R Dunn 10:35, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Season 4 PNGs Edit

Sorry for the trouble, but a lot of those pngs are low-res and terrible quality. And jpgs are more efficient, size wise. Some of them are decent enough to keep, like the ones in Chain Reaction and The First Ones, but expect updates to other images in the near future. Again, sorry I can't just upload new versions over the old. —Ka'lel 05:49, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

That's fine. Although that's strange you can't change the file type. Anyway, in the image: File:2010.png, it really did look like she was yelling at the Stargate... funny. The new image you uploaded looks much better.—Anubis 10545 07:35, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

dnt feel bad Edit

Don't feel bad for me. I know i have issues. But i just want to have some fun. come on lets be friends.

About Kwwsucks Edit

Hi this is Leonhart178 or Tau'ri278 (on Wikipedia)

I thought you should know a little about Kwwsucks that i found out from talking to Kww.

Kwwsucks, started as 'leonhart' and wrote some pretty dumb stuff to Kww and RedFarmer. He was banned and lost for a while and then came back as 'Zbeeblebrocks' (i think that is how it is spelled), saying he was reformed. He was not banned for Sockpuppetry thanks to a self appointed 'Mentor' meaning well toward 'Zbeeblebrocks'. And he was lost for a while only to fins the thing about making an article about 'air' which he did. So if you want to ban him, i agree to it. If you don't, well you know this guy might be a butt kind of person.

All good intentions, live long and prosper

Another Alignment Question Edit

Are there any standard alignment tags to align something to the right/left/center/justify? Like for text or charts. —Ka'lel 03:20, 7 December 2008

P.S. What does (UTC) stand for at the end of the signature?

UTC means: Universal Coordinated Time. But it's French so the abbreviation is weird. As for aligning things, you can do it with images, but not with text that I'm aware of.—Anubis 10545 03:29, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
You can do it quite easily with text, actually. :P —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 03:32, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Coolbeans. -Ka'lel
Oh yea... oops. Forgot about that.—Anubis 10545 03:50, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Expanding the question, how do you get things to float? Basically, I'm trying to put some stuff directly to the right of the table of contents on my user page to fill the white space. —Ka'lel 04:20, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
Nevermind, I figured it out with a little know-how and the template on Anubis 10545's user page. —Ka'lel 04:41, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Wraith rifleEdit

HA, they really do look like backwards swordfish. That's funny.—Anubis 10545 18:18, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, eh? The first time I saw it I thought it looked stupid. And I'm glad they were replaced by the new model, they make much more sense and look a lot better. —Ka'lel 19:45, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

IMPORTANT: Vegas and Enemy at the Gates Edit

As stated on the Vegas talk page, the last two episodes have been leaked. Being the person that I am, I've seen them. Given how early these eps are, and the importance of them, (the final two) I will try to make my edits as spoiler free as possible. Just a heads up to anyone who hates spoilers as much as I do, steer clear of the episode pages if you don't want to know what happens. I most likely won't be the only one making edits in the next two weeks. Cheers.—Ka'lel 04:59, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

My userpageEdit

Hello Ka'lel. I was wondering if you could tell me if the images on my userpage are lined up with the text from your perspective. I've been trying get get them there, but I have no way of knowing... Thanks!—Anubis 10545 20:32, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey. I wouldn't worry too much about it, I thought it looked fine before. As it stands now, the images on the right side extend farther than the page by two images, the Phoenix and Teal'c. But it's your page, it looks good and it's a lot of work to make things fit on all resolutions. The only way I really know how to make it line up on all resolutions is to make a table (with invisible borders), but then you'd get some gaps. Cheers. —Ka'lel 03:55, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. It just seems like every other computer I vied my page on before, the images were out of wack. I just wanted to find a compromise. I didn't want to be the only person who could really enjoy my page... or um... something like that. How it is now should be fine though.—Anubis 10545 04:38, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Looks good! —Ka'lel 05:29, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Elyse Levesque Edit

You beat me to it :) Never mind, Can I at least do Ming-Na, or are you in the middle of creating her too. -- Matthew R Dunn 20:28, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

By all means. I like doing the behind the scenes pages, like for the writers and actors of the shows. I've worked on a lot of their articles, and created a lot of the SGU cast ones. They deserve a lot of credit, and the more and more I hear about the cast of SGU, the more I look forward to it. Oh, and I used the best image I could find for her, but it's still a bit small, so consider it a placeholder. Cheers. —Ka'lel 21:22, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

A lot has changed Edit

Wikia has made quite a few changes to the editing process since I was last here. Until I get the hang of the new interface, I'll just be heading to the source code and making my edits from there. I'll be uploading a few new pictures of the Destiny tonight as well as creating/updating any other pages that may result from this new info. Cheers. —Ka'lel 04:21, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

timeline codeEdit

thanks but i didnt enter that code into the timeline... i just highlighted and pressed the BOLD button... wikia automatically added the code itself. but thankyou anyway, --Stargate TL1 17:58, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Ah, nevermind then. It's weird that it does that. I do all my edits in the source so I've never really used the buttons. —Ka'lel 18:59, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

but thanks for your advice --Stargate TL1 19:11, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Beau Bridges Stole My Money And My SGU Knowledge Wins Me Something Useless Edit

We haven't implemented blogs into this wiki, so I figured I'd just write on my talk page. I met Beau Bridges today at FanExpo in downtown Toronto. He's the second Stargate personality I've met, the first being Rainbow Sun Francks, who I ran into randomly downtown.

So, funny story...Beau Bridges took a lot of money from me. This is the first time I've ever gone to a sci-fi/comic/gaming convention and I knew I'd have to pay for autographs, but I figured they'd be in the $5-$20 range. Not so. I walked up and handed him my Continuum and AoT DVDs to sign, at which point the guy sitting with him said, "that'll be $8".
"Reasonable..." I thought, as I handed him a 20.
"No...$80," he said.
At this point I did a double take, and looked at Beau who was already signing the second DVD. What could I do? He had already given me two autographs and I had to pay up, $40 a piece. I coughed up the dough and moved along so the rabid fan behind me dressed as an SGC employee could have her turn. I took a look at the other booths and most of them had signs displaying similar prices; Beau did not. I learned the hard way that autographs are either FREE or RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE. Maybe $80 is reasonable for some people, but I am poor.

On the bright side, I learned my lesson; I opted just to shake hands with the other celebrities there and get my picture taken with them for free. I shook Lou Ferrigno's hand and told him he was awesome in I Love You Man and King of Queens; I had a nice conversation with James Kyson Lee (Ando from Heroes) about the next season of Heroes; I got Mary McDonnell (President Roslin, Battlestar Galactica) to say "So Say We All!"; I also talked to Billy D. Williams (Lando Calrissian) and the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. The three big celebrities were Leonard Nimoy, Bruce Campbell and Linda Hamilton all of whom had lines way too long to bother standing in. There were a few other Star Trek stars there that I didn't have time to meet.

From there, I went to a Space Channel panel (Canada's equivalent of Syfy). They talked a lot about the shows coming out this fall, including Stargate Universe and I was happy to find out that it will premiere on Oct 2nd and will air in tandem with the SyFy channel, which is something they haven't done with Atlantis or Eureka. Then surprise guest, Dylan Taylor, (Wass from Defying Gravity - awesome new show for those who haven't seen it) got up and talked a bit about his character and the show. At the end of the panel, they gave away prizes to people who could answer random trivia questions about Space shows. There were a few DVDs, then Sanctuary scripts signed by Amanda Tapping and the rest of the cast. They asked questions about shows I didn't watch and one about Eureka that I should have gotten right but didn't. Then the prizes became Doctor Who helmets/masks and they asked a question about SGU.
"Who's a Canadian actor in Stargate Universe?"
In an attempt to answer quickly I just started listing off names that came to mind and checking our actor pages now, it turns out every name I said was an American actor. Nobody else had given a correct answer and then it came to me... "Amanda Tapping! She's in the pilot episode at least."
"Wha..that's true. You've caught us in a technicality," said the MC, "come get your prize."
What did I win? A large, heavy "Human Dalek" mask that looks just like this. It has a microphone in it to convert your voice into a Dalek voice. Here's the thing...I've seen one episode of Doctor Who in my entire life and it was this one, which does not have Daleks in it. So I had no idea who or what a Dalek was. I have since looked it up. I traded it to my friend, who has never seen a Doctor Who episode in return for dinner, so maybe the prize wasn't completely useless to me. She wore the mask on the train ride home, scaring children and delighting fans of the show.

Despite unexpectedly losing $80 to Beau Bridges, I had a good time today. On a side note, my title is an homage to Joe Mallozzi's long blog titles. Cheers. —Ka'lel (talk) (Contribs) 03:09, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

editing Edit

ok ok ok! Geez! I'm a newbie and joined only a few hours ago. Gotcha. I DID ask if I could and got no response, and the editing area says its ok if you leave your id.

I don't even know if I can leave this here! Only tried to help.

I won't do it again.

Grains. HA... that's pretty funny :). —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 17:20, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

I feel bad that you have to keep cleaning up my mess, you are doing a great job here and I'll try and pay a closer attention to my spelling and grammer.--joecool280 (talk) (Contribs) 00:23, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

No worries! There are many members of this wiki that don't speak English as their first language but still make valuable contributions, so grammar and spelling fixes are common around here. I just happened to be online at the same time as you =). Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 00:30, October 25, 2009 (UTC)

Boone Edit

Hey, I was wondering if you could upload an image of Boone, because GateWorld seemed to miss him (the guy must be one of the most obscure seen character in the history of Stargate). I remember seeing his face for two seconds above some boxes in the shuttle as they were about return to Destiny. Thanks. If you can't find him, thanks anyway. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) (Contribs) 02:00, October 30, 2009 (UTC)

Sorry it took so long to respond, crazy weekend with Halloween parties and whatnot. Anyways, the only image of his face is terrible. You're right it's over a console or something and behind a pole. Very quick and small and kind of out of focus. I cleaned up the image, best I could, but it's still not great. The actor that plays Boone is fairly well known, so he might be in another episode, but until then I think this is the best we're gonna get. Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 21:04, October 31, 2009 (UTC)

Latest Activity section Edit

Anyone else not digging the change to the "Latest activity" section on the left below the sidebar? Personally, I liked it the way it was, and I used it as a quick link to the Recent changes page, as well as my page. Anyone know if there's a way to change it back? Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 19:19, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

Hey Back At'chaEdit

Thanks for your can edit the article for tonight's episode, if you like! FYI, Holland Landing is directly north of Newmarket, southeast of Bradford. webepisode template problemsEdit

ye i had that problem. thanks for sortin it out, as my knowledge about templates is limited. im usin da episode template for now, so i get the pages set up for now. once its sorted, it wont take 10 minutes to change the templates around. Unsigned comment by Stargate TL1 (talk • contribs).

image Edit

Hey, I was wondering if you had a super-high quality HD version of this image that you could upload so that the Stargate in it doesn't look as fuzzy. Thanks!—Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 02:15, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

You should ask Jaymach for admin rights. At times it seems like I'm really the only one here (although Jaymach does make an edit or two every day or so) and it seems like your user status is always getting in your way. Your always needing to ask me to delete, block, or protect something (not that I mind doing that :). He's the only bureaucrat here. If you do ask him, tell him I'll back you.—Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 06:51, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your support, I will. Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 06:53, November 22, 2009 (UTC)

You just made some changes to Mooney. I think she is the character Marissa Smith played and was credited as Female Airman. Can you confirm this? If so a link on the "Life" guide is needed and an actor name in the infobox. Also are you sure she is a Chief Master Sergeant. I didn't see a rank insignia.Lowriders95s10 (talk) (Contribs) 04:46, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

Okay. As for the male airman that Young uses to beat up Telford I think his name is Lucas and he is a Airman First Class. Can you confirm? I'm not sure if it is the same one Young used earlier in the episode though. He was also a Airman First Class but I couldn't get a good look at his name.Lowriders95s10 (talk) (Contribs) 05:53, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

Background ImageEdit

What do you think of the background? bad... needs work? like the old better?—Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 06:32, November 24, 2009 (UTC)

Well this may be another case of what you see vs. what I see. On my screen, the only part of the background that is ever shown is behind the Stargate Wiki logo. So all I can see is a very small portion of the 304, and it's very hard to tell what it is. Also, a general thing about backgrounds: they should always loop (the edges match up with each other perfectly when connected). For instance, if the old background (the trees) are seen for a second while the rest of the page loads over it, it looks like one continuous image, no matter what the width (or length in some cases) of the page is. Your 304 background doesn't loop. Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 06:39, November 24, 2009 (UTC)
I know... it's part way through a work in progress. On all screens the only part you can see is behind the SG wiki logo. I wanted something "spacey", but plain space just seemed boring. I'm sure I'll find a middle ground... or just give up keep the old :). Thanks. —Anubis 10545 (talk) (Contribs) 06:42, November 24, 2009 (UTC)
Now THAT looks good! MolocKal'el T | C - 02:08, November 25, 2009 (UTC)

Done :D Edit

HOORAY!! It's 3:10am here and i've finally finished sorting ALL the images that didn't have a category into their own categories... Hopefully by the time you check, Special:UncategorizedFiles should have a small amount of images instead of over 1000 lol... The majority of them would have to be the Tradingcards or actors, with the latter, i know it included actresses but i did it the same way as the articles have done :)

Thanks again for your help and i hope that at least some people conform to doing this in the future, i know i'll be categorizing my images as soon as they are uploaded to try and prevent a mass edit like today...

Oh and what do you think of the sig? Ba'alJenkins08 T | C 16:17, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

Good job! It was 4:30am (EST) when I finally called it a night. I usually stay up late, but that was late. I have to start getting to bed earlier. Honestly, I can't believe we ever did without image categories. Thanks again for the help, and your sig looks great. MolocKal'el T | C - 18:03, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
That's weird. When you sign, it should just reference the coding page. The User:Ka'lel/autosig page does this. That way, it shows up as {{User:Ka'lel/sig}} when you sign instead of the actual coding. Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 18:11, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
Ahhhhh i knew something was missing because when i saw your's was pretty much a template syntax i couldn't find the actual template, thanks for the correction :)
EDIT: umm something is not right because i put the {{User:Jenkins08/sig}} - part into my Signature box in Preferences and it still comes up with the full code... should i be using <noinclude></noinclude> somewhere? Ba'alJenkins08 Chat | Contribs - 01:32, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
You need to put {{User:Jenkins08/autosig}} into your Preferences, not sig. MolocKal'el T | C - 06:02, November 29, 2009 (UTC)
D'oh ok cheers lets see if that worked User:Jenkins08/sig - - 06:28, November 29, 2009 (UTC) - Ok sweet thanks again :)

Done :D .... or notEdit

Hi! I try to make a signature, but something is wrong. It looks fine, but, when i sign a post, my signatue add image to "Activity feed" page with note: "Added image", other signatures, like yours, don't do that. Maybe you know whats wrong with mine Vilnisr T | C - 10:03, May 10, 2010 (UTC)

Wanted pages Edit

Howdy i'm going to leave this message with Jaymach, Anubis and Matthew aswell, i made a list of Special:WantedPages that doesn't include the automated (episode) pages.. just something to do if your thinking "hmm not much to edit" LOL yeah right i know, just a thought :). swapping image over Edit

thanks for swapping the image over. i upload da picture and then net crash on me. the image we have now is less fuzzy :) Unsigned comment by Stargate TL1 (talk • contribs).

No problem. For future reference, you can just upload a new version of an image, rather than upload a completely new image. That way, no image swapping is necessary =) Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 19:00, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing those redirects i completely forgot how to link to a certain part of a page... Learn something new everyday :) User:Jenkins08/sig - - 05:57, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

We all start somewhere. You'll notice at the top of the page I wrote "creating an entire page is over my head." MolocKal'el T | C - 06:00, December 1, 2009 (UTC)
Haha fair enough... yeah thing i hate about creating new pages with images (if any) is trying to make the article look aesthetically pleasing aswell as informative and non-bias. I still think this wiki is one of the best i've ever been involved with, and that SG-1 solutions wiki is nowhere near as good as this one :) User:Jenkins08/sig - - 06:14, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Higher-Res SGU Screencaps Edit

Hi, kind of new to all this. I love SGU and I come on here often to look up stuff about the show. You seem to be pretty active on here so I thought you'd be able to answer my question. I have access to the season 1 blu-ray release (the first 10 episodes). I'd be happy to upload screencaps from the full 1920x1080 source to replace all the screencaps in the various articles from the first 10 episodes of SGU if that's something anyone would be interested in. I know when I'm browsing, the higher quality, bigger the photo the better. I've created a sample, here is the current screencap, and here is the screencap from the bluray. Let me know. Thanks and have a great day. Photo gamer (talk) (Contribs) 14:42, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Better quality is definitely better. If needed it could always be miniaturized. --Глючарина (talk) (Contribs) 16:12, April 25, 2010 (UTC)
I will get started. If I find a pic that might be better represented by a slightly different pic, how should I go about adding that? Thanks. Photo gamer (talk) (Contribs) 17:30, April 25, 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I uploaded my first replacement screenshot. Not sure if I did it correctly. Can someone check out the page and let me know if I did it correctly? Thanks Photo gamer (talk) (Contribs) 17:48, April 25, 2010 (UTC)
everything just fine :) Vilnisr (talk) (Contribs) 18:19, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, that's right. To answer your previous question: Obviously if the pic is just a few frames away from the original capture, then replace the original. Otherwise, just use your best judgment on whether to replace the original or upload it as a new image. I can't believe I'm about to cite Sam when it comes to doing something correctly, but take a look at this image. Completely different, but a better representation of the planet. Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 18:31, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

I think I have just one more question. How do I go about adding a new picture and then changing the screencap in the article? Photo gamer (talk) (Contribs) 18:48, April 25, 2010 (UTC)
There's a link at the bottom of the sidebar to the left, just above "recent changes" that says "upload a new image" (though it's not there while editing a page anymore for some reason). That's what I use, I haven't made use of the "upload files" link yet. After uploading the image, just replace the link in the article with the one you've uploaded. If the images are properly categorized (and they all should be, by now) no images can be lost, as they're all linked to from the episode articles. MolocKal'el T | C - 18:59, April 25, 2010 (UTC)

Quote nomination Edit

McKenna SG 1 (talk) (Contribs) 01:43, May 2, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Ka'lel, thank you for this wonderful way of comunication among Stargate fans.

I live in Bs. As. Argentina. I've been a Stargate fan since the bare begining.

I'm not so young, you know, so I saw "Stargate, The Movie" with Kurt Russell when it was shown at cinema as premier in 1994, here in Bs. As.

It was so glad when it became into a serial!! Particularly because Richard Dean Anderson was the main actor. I had been watched all MacGyver's episodes, so I knew him very well.

Stargate has two fans at home, my son Lucas (20) and me, so we enjoy quotes very much.

My doubt is, can we nominate a new quote?

Where exactly?

Any way, I will post it here for you administrate it as you like.

It is from 2º season. Chapter 14: "Touchtone"

- O'Neill try to stop angry locals saying: "Hold it! All right, we came here in peace. We expect to go in one... (theatrical pause) ... piece."

He made a very interesting play on words "peace/piece" that made us laughing very much.

I hope we could be in touch, in future.

Sorry about my poor English.

Thanks you, Ka'lel.

SGU S1 edits Edit

At least Season 1 takes place in 2009, and most likely at least episode 1 of Season 2. —Supakillaii (talk) (Contribs) 11:05, May 9, 2010 (UTC)

main page stargates Edit

Pegasus and Destiny's stargates looks awesome, but maybe you have another stargate image for Milky Way, this one doesn't look very good, if you don't have maybe I can later find some Vilnisr T | C - 06:43, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

Re: months throughout the wikia Edit

anyway we can get shut of them? i dont mind the mundain task of clearing them out. ill do them bit by bit, as im workin on improvin the magazines and short stories. i think someone had the plan of dating everythin realeased in a particular month. but i think that pointless and little to no value, especially when the published section in the timeline is alot more effective in my opinion. i just dont wanna start wasting my time changing things, only for people to get moody and undo my changes. At the end of the day, there is alot more important things we need to spend our time improving and adding... in my opinion Stargate TL1 (talk) (Contribs) 23:11, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

The problem is, I think they're there for a reason. I think someone like Lowriders95s10 has gone through and removed the red links, but they've been put back. MolocKal'el T | C - 23:21, May 17, 2010 (UTC)

do you know what purpose? if people have plans for them... then they need to do somethin. because they've been around for over 2 years now... although i dont see there real pupose or value. Anyway, thanks for your replies :) Stargate TL1 (talk) (Contribs) 16:18, May 18, 2010 (UTC)

I don't know the purpose, sorry. I remember the redlinks being removed, and then purposely re-added. I don't want to name names, because I don't remember who it was, but I'm pretty sure one of the admins wants them around for whatever reason. MolocKal'el T | C - 18:59, May 18, 2010 (UTC)

i have a feeling who it was anyway... anyway im gonna get on with improving the short stories and official magazines for now. thanks for your time Stargate TL1 (talk) (Contribs) 20:22, May 18, 2010 (UTC)

a three-month block on a new user without any sort of warning for what appear to be poorly executed but ultimately well-intentioned edits seems a bit uncalled for, unless there's another factor that i'm not aware of. ASDF1239 DISCUSSION 15:26, November 6, 2010 (UTC)

All of his/her edits had to be reverted, they were nonsense. Also, the userpage reinforced his/her intentions. Cheers. MolocKal'el T | C - 19:08, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

Admin assistance required to rename article Edit

This message was mass-posted to all admins, it is not directed at you in particular. Could one of you move the Gateship article to "Puddle Jumper" (per Talk:Gateship#Name_again). I tried doing it myself but I got an error message, it seams the admin toles are necessary to move this.

Lastly, I apologizes for mass-posting like this, but I didn't know what else to do. The error message directed me to SGCommand:Administration. The Administration page directed me to either make a post on the Community Portal, or to contact an admin directly, but portal doesn't seem to be working (it's little more then an otherwise blank page that says "Under construction"), and I didn't know which specific admin I was supposed to contact.
