Melburn Jackson was the father of Dr. Daniel Jackson and, evidently, an archaeologist.

Biography

1973

He and his wife Claire Jackson were killed in an accident at the New York Museum of Art in approximately 1973 when they were crushed by a falling capstone that they were setting up for an exhibit. Eight-year-old Daniel was put into foster care. (SG1: "The Gamekeeper", "Crystal Skull")
