Maz'rai was a Jaffa who was born and raised on Chulak, and an old friend of Bra'tac.
Biography[]
2006[]
He was the former servant and slave of the System Lord Apophis. After he was freed, he joined the Jaffa High Council as a high-ranking member. In 2006, he launched an initiative for Jaffa democracy. After he, Bra'tac and Teal'c noticed fellow member Ka'lel opposing the idea despite her agreement earlier, Maz'rai decided to confronted her; she shot him with a Zat'nik'tel and sent him to Ba'al to be brainwashed. Afterward, he opposed the idea of a democracy. When Bra'tac confronted him, he realized Maz'rai was brainwashed and left him alone to perform the Rite of M'al Sharran. Unfortunately, Maz'rai couldn't live with the shame and died. However, before he died he wrote Ka'lel's name down, leading Bra'tac and Dr. Daniel Jackson to her. (SG1: "Stronghold")
