Masim is a high ranking Lucian Alliance officer and warlord and the father of Kiva.

His name was Colonel David Telford's password while he was brainwashed by Kiva. The password was to be used whenever Telford attempted to contact the Alliance. As a result, Dr. Nicholas Rush, in Telford's body, was immediately discovered as he did not follow the protocol. And Telford was later able to prove he had returned to his own body by using the password; though the brainwashing had been broken, he retained all his knowledge of that time. Masim later lost his daughter when Telford killed Kiva during the Lucian Alliance invasion of Destiny. (SGU: "Subversion", "Incursion, Part 1", "Intervention")
