Martouf was the host of Lantash, a Tok'ra operative, and the mate of Jolinar/Rosha. He became a close friend of SG-1, particularly Samantha Carter. He also helped them rescue Jacob Carter/Selmak from Netu. However, Martouf was turned into a Za'tarc, and programmed to kill the President of the United States. Samantha Carter was forced to kill Martouf with a Zat.

Alternate realities

• In an alternate reality Martouf survived and maintained the relationship with Samantha Carter, although it was hard with a long-distance relationship. He therefore joined Stargate Command to be closer to her. They lived together for quite some time, until she, as he said it, became someone else. As of January 2006 he is part of SG-1 together with Janet Fraiser, Daniel Jackson and Cameron Mitchell while Samantha is home with their newborn child. (SG1: "Ripple Effect")
