Mari's cave was a cave where the Goa'uld Mari and her Jaffa lived. The cave was located on the planet Alava in the Holy mountain above the town of Herri.
Overview[]
The entrance to Mari's cave was at the top of the Holy mountain. There was a trail from the foot of the mountain that led to it that the Alavans used. Since Mari only wanted the most devout Alavans to disturb her solitude, the trail was difficult to travel. It had sharp turns, and the path widened and narrowed regularly.
The cave has a deep chasm that's at least 30 meters deep. It had a rope bridge across it. (RPG: "The Eyes of the Storm")
History[]
The Goa'uld Mari's lair was deep within. She lived in the cave and rarely left it. Her Jaffa also lived in the cave underneath the mountain and had been malnourished and ill from the lack of sunshine and had blue glowing mouths. The Jaffa ate blue Bioluminescent mushrooms that grew from the cave walls.
After Phoenix Site sent teams to visit the planet twice, Mari attacked Herri. Half a dozen of her Jaffa ushered their captives up the mountain and brought them close to her lair in a large open cavern. A Phoenix team went to the cave to attempt a rescue.
If Mari and her Jaffa fled the battle with the Phoenix team, she and her Jaffa returned to her lair where they perished shortly after from their wounds. (RPG: "The Eyes of the Storm")
