Overview[edit | edit source]
A transport train is made up of at least four massive cargo containers, each one equipped with at least a single set of transportation rings, which the Kassa is stored in. The containers are linked with each other through an energy field, with the front container being linked to an Al'kesh pulling the whole train. At least one such train was equipped with scanners over the rings, which activated as soon as a person was using the rings to beam on board a container.
The interior of the containers is of Goa'uld design, hinting that these containers were previously used by the Goa'uld. This doesn't come as a surprise as most ships used by the Lucian Alliance are former Goa'uld vessels.
History[edit | edit source]
Lucian Alliance freighter were used by the Lucian alliance to transport the addictive Kassa. In 2007, SG-1 destroyed three of these trains by ringing aboard, via cloaked cargo ship, and planting an explosive charge in each container. The Al'keshes escorting the containers were destroyed as well. SG-1's main reason for destroying these transport trains was to weaken the Lucian Alliance. The last train destroyed by the team had a scanner installed above the rings, which not only warned the Lucian alliance members if someone was using them but also marked the people scanned by the devices, allowing them to be found by the Alliance. It is likely the Alliance installed this system in reaction losing the previously destroyed "trains". (SG1: "Bounty")
