2004[]
Lindsey was aboard the Prometheus when it attempted to make a voyage to the Pegasus galaxy to assess the Atlantis expedition's situation (No one had heard from them since their departure). She was one of the officers offloaded to a Goa'uld Al'kesh by Vala Mal Doran who intended to sell the Prometheus to a fellow arms dealer, Tenat. She and MSgt. Walter Harriman repaired the Al'kesh and followed the Prometheus. Eventually, Dr. Daniel Jackson was successful in securing the ship, turning it around to pick up Novak and the others who were stranded. Prometheus did not make it to Atlantis. 2005[]
Almost half a year later when the Earth ship Daedalus was completed, Novak served as engineer alongside the Asgard Hermiod. She occasionally frustrated the alien concerning matters relating to weapons deployment using Asgard transporters. But at least she had gotten over her hiccups. (SGA: "The Siege, Part 3")
When The Trust planted a bomb in Atlantis, Novak received the message from Stargate Command to relay to Atlantis. Later, she was interrogated by Dr. Elizabeth Weir and mentioned that Dr. Peter Kavanagh was always poking around in the Daedalus computers. (SGA: "Critical Mass")
2006[]
When Teyla Emmagan offers to accompany him, Hermiod is surprised as only Novak amongst the crew of the Daedalus ever volunteers to spend time with him. Hermiod is shown to find Novak's awkward affection for him to be vexing at times. (SGA: "Hermiod's Last Mission")
2009[]
Following the Raid on Atlantis and the failure to get enough titanium to build a new mechanical iris, Lt. Colonel Melissa Hocken approaches Novak with the idea of removing part of the F-302 fighter-interceptors armor and instead relying on only the shields to protect the craft so that the armor pieces can be used to supply the titanium to create the iris. While Novak determines that it is possible, she is uncomfortable with the idea due to the danger it leaves the F-302s in.
During the Battle of the Frozen Planet, after the Daedalus takes a hit that knocks out the sublight engines, Colonel Steven Caldwell pushes Novak to get the engines back online. A frustrated Novak reports that while they are trying to bypass the damaged components, the engines simply aren't responding and she thinks the ignition system might be shot. As a result, Novak warns Caldwell that she doesn't think she can get the engines back online without performing major repairs but keeps working. Caldwell recognizes that like himself, Novak is likely wishing Hermiod was there to mutter to himself in Asgard and find them a fast solution. Novak is eventually able to bring the Daedalus sublight engines back online in time for the ship to draw the attention of the enemy hive ship, enabling the George Hammond to destroy it.
