Latona, designated P2A-018 by the Tau'ri, was a planet in the Milky Way galaxy, which held a Stargate and was the homeworld of the Latonans and location of a device known as the Sentinel.
History[]
The Latonans most likely cut off ties with the Tau'ri for good after the Sentinel incident which had been caused by a rogue cell of the NID. SG-9 went to this planet to re-establish diplomatic relations with the planet's inhabitants. (SG1: "The Sentinel")
