Lantean control consoles are computer consoles on Atlantis (and presumably other City-ships) as well as several Ancient outposts such as the Doranda outpost and the Taranis outpost.

Overview

These consoles can access the main controls of the whichever system they are connected to, including city-ship shielding and the Stardrive. (SGA: "The Siege, Part 3", "Progeny")

These consoles consist of several interchangeable crystals that are responsible for operation of various systems. These crystals can be removed and reconfigured for different systems such as the biometric sensor array. (SGA: "The Siege, Part 1") The crystals can be pressed in a similar matter to a keyboard. (SGA: "Progeny") These consoles are activated by the ATA gene but do not require the gene for continual interfacing. (SGA: "Hide and Seek")

These consoles are located all across the city of Atlantis usually accompanied by a glass screen monitor and have database access, which the Atlantis expedition prefer to using the holo room as it uses a lot of power. (SG1: "The Pegasus Project")

There are several consoles located in the control room which hold special functions such as subspace communications and the DHD, however we have seen that these consoles do not have the only access to these systems. The biometric sensors do not appear to be able to be controlled from any other console than biometric sensor array, unless it has been connected to the main systems. (SGA: "Hide and Seek", "Sanctuary", "The Siege, Part 1", "First Contact")

A similar console can be seen in certain outposts and aboard the Aurora-class battleships and serve a similar function. (SGA: "Inferno", " Travelers") Different variations can be found as is the case with the consoles in the main power room and the Ascension lab. (SGA: "Quarantine", "Tao of Rodney")
