Background information[]
Keffler's father was a Nazi war criminal who had stolen the artifacts of Sekhmet from France during the war. He created Anna, a Goa'uld/Human hybrid who he created out of the DNA from Sekhmet as a science experiment to unlock Goa'uld secrets. (SG1: "Resurrection")
2004[]
The NID uncovered Keffler's operations in an abandoned warehouse near Los Angeles, California after a member of the cleaning crew called 9-1-1 after Anna's rampage. Keffler was the only survivor, and taken into custody by the NID where he was interrogated onsite by Agent Malcolm Barrett and Major Samantha Carter. He defended his actions by pointing out that Stargate Command never expressed significant concern over the hosts of the Goa'uld they fought (Unconcerned about the obvious distinction between killing the host to prevent the symbiote committing further atrocities and actually giving a symbiote a host).
He was eventually killed by Anna in revenge for his actions as she sensed an 'evil' within him greater than even the evil that dwelt within her in the form of Sekhmet, Anna subsequently killing herself to stop Sekhmet from taking control again. (SG1: "Resurrection")
Personality[]
Keffler demonstrates highly sociopathic tendencies, and may even be psychopathic. He toys with Agent Malcolm Barrett and Major Samantha Carter over the course of his interrogation, showing no concern for his own safety or anyone else on site nor does he show any concern or regret for Anna. When Barrett and Carter challenge Keffler's actions and motivations, he turns it around on them, accusing Carter and Stargate Command of similar actions in their prior engagements with the Goa'uld. He believes that his treatment of Anna, as a hybrid Human-Goa'uld, is justified because of the who and what the Goa'uld are. Barrett likens Keffler to Dr. Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs. (SG1: "Resurrection")

Keffler is shown to be in possession of hundreds of Goa'uld artifacts that had been stolen by Nazi Germany, and came to him through his father who was a Nazi war criminal.
- Canopic Jar: Among the many artifacts is logged an in-tact canopic jar with the preserved symbiote of Sekhmet. He presumably used DNA from this symbiote to create Anna.
