Background information[]
After Keenan's home was destroyed by Anubis's forces, the Headquarters for Off-world Migration Endeavors resettled him on Phoenix planet. He volunteers around Phoenix Site to repay the Tau'ri's kindness.
Keenan's cousin, who maintained their people's oral traditions, died. Keenan feels that he's the last link to this tradition, which he feels unprepared for it.

In 2003, he was part of a work crew with Dr. J.R. Edwards and Sergeant Carmichael Gastogne to help bolster Phoenix Site's infrastructure, due to the earthquakes the planet had been having. (RPG: "In Ruins")
