Julian Sands was an English actor, famous for portraying the Doci, the head of the Ori Priors in Stargate SG-1.

On January 13, 2023, Sands disappeared while hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains which are located northeast of Los Angeles.

On June 24, 2023, a group of hikers discovered human remains which on June 27, 2023 were positively identified as being those of Sands.
