Jelly Gophers are an indigenous creature found on New Athos that burrowed just below the surface of the ground. The creatures were attracted to body heat and they can be used as a food source. (SGA: "Missing")

Whilst the animal was not named in the episode it appeared, the prop was named "Jelly Gopher" by Propworx when it was put up for auction and so is used as the official name in this article.^[1]
