Jaws

Jaws is a 1975 movie made by the Tau'ri about a giant shark terrorizing people. When Major John Sheppard was attempting to capture the Shadow creature in the Containment vessel, Sheppard said "I think were going to need a bigger boat". (SGA: "Hide and Seek")

In the climax of the movie, the protagonist, Sheriff Brody, kills the shark by shooting an oxygen tank inside the shark's mouth, causing it to explode. When Ronon Dex saw this movie, particularly that scene, it led him to believe that oxygen tanks may explode. (SGA: "Quarantine")
