Jackal Guard

Jackal Guards were the elite Jaffa of Anubis. He abandoned their use after he was banished by the System Lords. (RPG: "Living Gods: Stargate System Lords")

While on Abydos, Ra's Horus Guards were lead by a Jackal guard named Anubis. And he wasn't the first one: in Earth, the year 3,000 BC, when the population rebelled against Ra, they killed several Jaffa, included a Jackal Guard. Their remains were found under the Stargate buried, in 1928. Their remnants were kept in a closed room under Cheyenne Mountain. (Stargate)
