Islam is a large religion exerted on Earth. Its sacred text called the Quran, and their followers call themselves Muslims. Some groups, including Taliban and Al-Qaeda follow an extremist view of Islam, believing they will enter paradise if they die in "Holy war", which, seemingly, includes suicide-bombs, killing thousands of innocent lifes. Even though Taliban and Al-Qaida are insane, they should not speak for the entire religion. Islam, among Earth's other major religions, mentioned by Dr. Elizabeth Weir in 2005 as part of an unsuccessful negotiations with Chaya Sar to allow Atlantis expedition refuge in her home planet.
