< Atlantis
The Inner City is the grouping of buildings surrounding the central tower of an Ancient city-ship, Atlantis. During a dream Dr. Kate Heightmeyer fell off the central tower into the inner city and died not only in the dream but also in real life. Michael Kenmore also died in this manner, but this time he fell in reality. (SGA: "Doppelganger", "The Prodigal")
The inner city of Atlantis houses such areas as:
- Chair room - located near the top of a tower in the eastern area.
- Reading Room - located on the top of a building in the northern area.
- Archives - located midway up a tower in the south area.
- Atlantis mess hall balcony - located near the bottom of a building in the south-southwest area.
- Isolation room - located at the top of a tower in the northern area.
- Kate Heightmeyer's office
Other city ships have the same structural layout but different rooms may have different functions.
