The Imperial Guard were Jaffa in the service of the Goa'uld Moloc who served as his enforcers in his small domain. Neith's father was in fact an Imperial Guard and was killed when Neith was found to be sneaking away children. This happened to many other Imperial Guard. The Jaffa Commander and First Prime Cha'ra was in command of the Imperial Guard Before Moloc was killed. (SG1: "Birthright")
