Imhotep was a minor Goa'uld who posed as K'tano, his own First Prime, to take control of the Jaffa Rebellion. Bra'tac and Teal'c wanted SG-1 to meet the charismatic K'tano, who soon wants to form an alliance with the Tau'ri. Initially, Teal'c is wary, but eventually he is won over, making the difficult decision to leave SG-1 and join Bra'tac and K'tano in the fight to free all Jaffa. Colonel Jack O'Neill, however, remained suspicious of K'tano, and his suspicions prove to be well-founded. Teal'c also soon learned the truth about K'tano after a failed raid on Yu's homeworld, when Yu told him the truth about K'tano. Teal'c challenged K'tano to Joma secu, which Imhotep quickly took control of, but after revealing himself, Teal'c killed Imhotep. (SG1: "The Warrior")
